Nobody at Robinhood launched it. Nobody at Robinhood asked for it. It wasn't designed to represent the network, and it definitely wasn't created with a grand plan.

It started as a meme.

Then something happened.

As Robinhood Chain built out an ecosystem around tokenized stocks, real-world assets, and permissionless markets, THROBBIN evolved right alongside it. The joke became a character. The character became a green bird. And the green bird ended up in a strangely perfect home.

A Robin. Native to Robinhood Chain.

That's the part nobody planned.

THROBBIN isn't an official mascot, and it's not pretending to be one. It's something more native to crypto than any mascot could be: a piece of culture minted by the people actually using the chain, not handed down from a marketing deck.

THROBBIN was never the only bird on this chain, either. Robinhood Chain has hatched a whole aviary of ROBIN, ROBBIE, and Robin Hood knockoffs — before it, after it, and still landing today. Most flew nowhere. THROBBIN's the one that kept building: live holder rewards, real community tools, and a flock that actually stuck around.

Robinhood brought the assets.
The chain brought the rails.
The community made the Robin.

And it's been THROBBIN ever since.
